Higgins Spread Goodwill & Season’s Greetings via Christmas Hampers

Posted: 23/12/2014

It has become an annual tradition for Higgins Construction to donate hampers to worthwhile causes near to our building sites in the run-up to Christmas.

Christmas 2014 was no exception with 14 hampers being donated to local schools, community centres and in one instance the Bermondsey Voices Choir for their annual raffle.

They traditionally hold concerts during the Christmas period to raise much needed funds to keep the choir going and were delighted when the Project Director at our Century House Project nominated them as a worthwhile cause.

The picture above shows Mrs Bee, the lucky winner of the hamper.

Kristina Mansbridge, the Musical Director for Bermondsey Voices, commented:
“The raffle, with Higgins’ kind support, was a huge success. I had the pleasure of delivering the hamper to Mrs Bee and she was totally surprised and so pleased and happy! She said that she ‘hasn’t won anything in years’ and that the basket was ‘just wonderful’. Thank you again from all of us in Bermondsey Voices!”
