Latymer Upper School is an independent, co-educational day school taking children from the age of seven through to 18 years. This urban school has a long and proud history of serving the families of the immediate area and beyond.

The new Science and Library building was constructed using a four-storey concrete frame with a steel framed roof. The building is a naturally ventilated atrium building housing the school’s Science Department of 13 laboratories (five biology, four physics, four chemistry) with preparation rooms and fume cupboards. The Library occupies the ground floor and is fully integrated with the existing school buildings.

The works were undertaken in a restricted area, whilst the school continued to operate. A close and successful working relationship with the school was key to the project’s success.
