Higgins Construction first worked on the Angell Town Estate in 1990, as a pilot mixed use project when the first block of residential refurbishment was undertaken. Our comprehensive regeneration of the estate began in 2000, working closely with the clients and the resident repesentatives to develop the overall scheme.

Our Resident Liaison Team supported family events, the establishment of a multi media studio, sports and educational projects in local schools for the residents. The delivery of the Little Angels Garden Square, surrounded by housing on all sides was strategically placed to act as a focal point and meeting place for the estate’s community.

Angell Town was an eco-project, which included solar panels, passivents and the collection of rain water. The self build units included solar panels, under-floor heating and large windows to maximise light and heat intake from the sun. The scheme has won no less than twenty industry awards.
