Orchard Village, Rainham
We were selected as the most experienced and capable contractor following rigorous selection and tendering procedures and building upon a successful track record of delivering similar projects for public sector clients.
The Orchard Village Project is an existing development containing 555 homes, spread across 8 blocks located in Rainham, Essex. The works are for Clarion Housing are cladding replacement to bring the building in line with current and future regulations. Additional works include timber replacement to balconies.
The Orchard Village scope of works has two main streams:
- Blocks C, D, E & F requiring Recladding and Timber Replacement to the Balconies.
- Blocks B, J, L & P only require Timber Replacement to the Balconies.
The cladding replacement works at Orchard Village are more complex and involved, requiring specialist design, peer reviews and 3rd party consultation. Careful planning included: working around occupied properties, work phasing, work zones, specialist work crews, HSE approved methodology, waste management, vehicle movements and a clear work access strategy.
Covering eight blocks within an occupied estate, we carefully developed our logistics strategy in consultation with the residents, Clarion Housing Group, and the local authority. We have a site-based delivery team on hand to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure the smooth running of the project.
