MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES

 To manage the production of trade enquiry packages for a range of construction projects; including working with internal teams, consultants, and our supply chain.

Main duties/Responsibilities: -  

These include:

-      Preparation of subcontract enquiry packages for all trades across a range of construction projects.

-      Evaluate and collate all necessary information to produce comprehensive enquiry packages.

-      Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure the timely issue of adequate design and project information

-      Work closely with the project Buyers to ensure the timely issue of information and resolution of issues arising.

-      Design evaluation, value engineering and financial feasibility exercises to ensure best practice is adopted and knowledge shared.

-      To regularly review, develop and adapt enquiry packages to meet changes in company procedures, legislation, sustainability, health & safety, and industry best practice.

-      Involvement in mid tender review meetings including liaison with specialist subcontractors.

-      Represent the Procurement function in a commercial and technical capacity with consultants and other departments during the design phase of contracts

-      Formulate internal budgets

-      Provide information and technical support to the Procurement team and other business functions

-      Work within established procedures specific to the Procurement function.

Must Have

-       Comprehensive technical knowledge

-       Commercial awareness

-       Good people skills

-       Computer literate

-       Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

 

Desirable

-     Professional Building Qualification

-     Driving Licence

-     Trade Experience
