Our Approach to the Future
No one is working harder to meet the modern construction agenda than Higgins.
From Zero Carbon Housing to BREEAM, Technology Strategy Board (TSB) retrofit to technology in the home, we’re working with our supply chain and consultants to provide efficient options for our customers. On top of that, we’re also working to ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems to the governments initiative to halve waste to landfill by 2012.
When it comes to the Code for Sustainable Homes, we have already completed codes 3 and 4 and BREEAM excellent standard. We also have a strategy to deliver on 5 and 6 by the end of 2010.
And with our reputation in quality housing, we’re introducing a number of new technologies in the home. These include smart metering, intelligent lighting, motion sensors for care homes and energy monitoring. Many of which we’re adopting at our current Zero Carbon Scheme in London.
