From Zero Carbon Housing to BREEAM, the first BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment property in the UK to technology in the home, we’re working with our supply chain and consultants to provide efficient options for our customers. On top of that, we also have effective ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems which are delivering our commitment to the governments initiative to halve waste to landfill by 2012.
When it comes to the Code for Sustainable Homes, we have already completed codes 3 and 4 and BREEAM excellent standard. We also have a strategy to deliver on Code 5 and 6 housing and the carbon reduction and Green Deal agendas.
And with our reputation in quality housing, we’re introducing a number of new technologies in the home. These include smart metering, intelligent lighting, motion sensors for care homes and energy monitoring. Our approach to delivering low energy sustainable buildings has been recognised within the industry through our shortlisting for the last 2 years for the Sustainable Contractor of the Year Awards.
