HIGGINS APPROACH TO MMC
Following on from our internal working group which commenced
in 1999 to analyse and record our involvement in offsite
fabrication and modern methods of construction we have
developed an innovation strategy. At the centre of this strategy
is a knowledge centre of MMC best practice which has been
developed by our pre-construction and procurement teams.
MMC Development Strategy
The Senior Management team at Higgins Construction has recognised
the need to develop suitable supply partners for the provision of critical
Off Site Manufactured systems and techniques to ensure that Higgins
maintains its premier constructor position ith its Key Housing
Association clients.
We have appointed supply chain partners for the manufacture of each of
our preferred key construction systems and are undertaking projects with
which to demonstrate the potential of these innovative construction
techniques.
